Shared Branching as a new service to our Holston Members

We are excited to offer our Holston member shared branching services. What does this mean to you? You have more options now! Our friendly staff in Knoxville will still be there but if you live or are traveling away from Knoxville area you will now be able to visit other credit unions that are part of the shared branching network to do some of your financial transactions. You will be able to use over 5,000 branches and over 30,000 ATM’s worldwide with no surcharges. IMPORTANT INFORMATION - there are a few things to know when you are going to a shared branch.

  1. The shared branching network does have some limits. They can assist you with transactions, cash, checks and other items. You may be limited in amount of cash you can take out from their branch.

  2. Things you must have in order to do a transaction at a shared branch

    1. ID - you must have a valid form of identification

    2. Credit Union Name - You will need to say you are from Interfaith Federal Credit Union. If you use any other name they may not find it in their database.

    3. Account Number - Your account number has changed! We have added a prefix of 50 to your account number. If you account number at HMFCU was 12345 it is now on IFCU’s side 5012345.

    4. Social Security Number - If you don’t recall your account number they can look you up by using your SSN.
