Community Impact

Lack of social education in the U.S. comes with a hefty price tag. It is estimated that today’s youth owe an average of $45,000, and credit card debt has been on a steady increase for the past five years. It’s easy to blame this on the economy, but experts are saying that actually, it’s an extreme lack of financial education.

Out of our 50 states, only 22 require economics in high school and only 14 are required to offer personal finance classes.

The goal of our program is to increase financial education in the community, educating 1000 people over the course of the year through:

  • Creating financial goals
  • Debt education and how to pay it off
  • Creating and utilizing a working budget
  • Preparing for the unexpected
  • Saving for the future
  • How credit and lending can work for and against you
