Important News – Target Breach

By now, you have likely heard or read of the enormous data breach that affected over 70 million consumers using credit and debit cards between November 27, 2013 and December 15, 2013 while shopping at Target. Fortunately, we have identified that only a limited number of United Methodist Federal Credit Union members were impacted. If you appeared on our list, you will be contacted with our next steps and options available to you. We will be issuing new cards to those affected members.

Even if you did not shop at Target, please continue to stay vigilant for incidents of fraud and identity theft by watching your accounts, reading your statements, regularly reconciling your accounts and monitoring free credit reports. If you discover any suspicious or unusual activity on your accounts or suspect fraud, be sure to contact us immediately.
