This is great news and means that as a member, you now have access to nearly 7,600 credit union branches and over 2,000 self-service locations nationwide giving you the convenience of the country’s largest banks – with the service of your own local credit union.

With our new Mobile Banking service through CO-OP Financial Services, members will now have access to their credit union account on the go!

To begin using Mobile Banking, members can sign up for the Smartphone app (available for iPhone and Android) or access it through the mobile-friendly website (Sprig app available for ALL Smartphone and mobile devices). After downloading the app or accessing the mobile-friendly website, members will then need to plug in the name of the credit union (this will be United Methodist Federal Credit Union for UMFCU AND Episcopal FCU members) and their account number, then follow the enrollment process. My Deposit Mobile will give you the ability to “snap and deposit” checks from anywhere using your Smartphone (available for iPhone and Android) camera and the CO-OP Mobile Banking Service. Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a member’s accounts at an insured depository institution, including all non interest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the NCUSIF up to the standard maximum share insurance amount ($250,000), for each share insurance ownership category.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is an independent agency of the United States government that protects the funds members place in federally insured credit unions through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). This insurance is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. The Dodd-Frank Act has provided temporary unlimited deposit insurance coverage for noninterest-bearing transaction accounts (NIBTAs), including Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTAs) from December 31, 2010 through December 31, 2012. This unlimited coverage for NIBTAs is scheduled to expire on December 31, 2012.
